I originally work at the Practice on a temporary basis at the end of 2015. In August 2016 I was thrilled to be asked to return to Aldington vets as a permanent member of the veterinary team.
\between my two employments, I was living and working in the lovely Derbyshire doing both small animal and equine work and picking up new skills that will hopefully help me out back here. Whilst I was away I managed to get enticed into stud work, which has now become an interest of mine that I hope to gain more knowledge and confidence in, and I also found I really enjoyed true emergency work.
Whilst in Derbyshire I started riding endurance horses for a client, which was painful but brilliant. Since coming back to Lancashire I have welcomed a little project horse into the mad family, who I hope will accompany me on some endurance rides next year once she is backed and we both improve our fitness. Lady is a skewbald TB x trotter so I hope she has the qualities to get me through!
I have moved back home to the parents, who are of course delighted (or not?!) to have me, but I am in the long process of trying to buy a house. Unfortunately as a first time buyer I cannot afford that million dollar mansion with the swimming pool, stables and school that we all crave in an idyllic setting!
