We are aware how much our clients rely on our reminder service for their horses’ vaccinations and dentals. We are happy to provide this courtesy service, and our staff spend a lot of time and effort scheduling appointments and sending out the reminder cards.
To make the service a little more efficient and give all of you the best possible chance of securing an appointment on the day provisionally offered on your card, we will no longer be pre-booking a specific time slot for your appointment so your reminder card will just include the date. Please contact us as soon as possible after you receive the reminder card so we can confirm an appointment on the scheduled date and arrange a suitable time. We hope that this method will allow more of our clients to take advantage of appointments on our half price visit days.
Whenever possible we try to schedule reminder appointments on one of our half price visit days for your area, although that isn’t always possible. Our half price visit days are extremely popular and tend to book-up quickly. The quicker you respond to the reminder card, the more likely you are to secure your preferred time on the selected day. We cannot guarantee appointments until they have been confirmed by you, so if you leave it until the last minute, we may be booked up for that half price day, in which case the appointment would need to be rearranged for a full price day.
May we also take this opportunity to remind our clients that the recall service is a courtesy one and it is still the responsibility of all owners to be aware when their horses’ vaccinations are due. Half Price Visits are scheduled between 9am and 4pm and must have been confirmed at least two days in advance. Appointments are booked in with the vet covering that area on that day, so it is not possible to specify a particular vet.
